Earth Day, celebrated annually on April 22, is a reminder to protect the environment, restore damaged ecosystems and live a more sustainable life. First celebrated in 1970, this year marks its 52nd anniversary.


10 Things YOU can do now to help the planet!


1.) Change your lights

2.) Recycle unwanted wire hangers

3.) Fly with an e-ticket

4.) Recycle old phones

5.) Use your own coffee cup

6.) Turn off the water while brushing your teeth

7.) Go vegetarian once a week

8.) Take shorter showers

9.) Shop at thrift stores, garage sales, second-hand, etc.

10.) Wash with cold or warm water
