Who is eligible to attend Ivy Preparatory Academy?
Scholars zoned Atlanta Public Schools, South Fulton, Clayton County, or Dekalb County Schools are eligible to attend Ivy Preparatory Academy.
How do I apply?
The registration link will be available here beginning January 18, 2023. All registrations must be completed online. Families needing access to a computer to complete the registration form may use a computer in the Admissions Office at Ivy Preparatory Academy, located at 1807 Memorial Drive. Computers will be available on school days during the enrollment period between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. by appointment. Computer assistance is available if needed. When are applications accepted?
The 2022- 2023 school year registration window is open for select grade levels until February 17, 2023. Click here to apply for the 2022-2023 school year.
Registration for the 2023-2024 school year will open on January 18, 2023, and close on February 21, 2023. The families who have registered during this timeframe are eligible to participate in the lottery. The lottery will take place on February 28th if there are more registrations than available seats. Seat availability is determined by the number of seats that have been vacated by previous families and/or by adding additional classes in a given grade level.
Is anyone given preference in the enrollment process and lottery?
Ivy Preparatory Academy gives enrollment priority to the following category of applicants in the following order:
A sibling of a scholar currently enrolled at Ivy Preparatory Academy.
A student whose parent or guardian is a member of the governing board of Ivy Preparatory Academy or is a full-time teacher, professional, or other employee of Ivy Preparatory Academy.
What if I made an error on my application and/or entered the wrong preference information for my child?

How will I know if my student has been granted a seat?
Ivy Preparatory Academy offers of enrollment to families selected are made in writing via email. It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure that Ivy Preparatory Academy has the most updated contact information (phone, mailing address, and email address) for notification purposes.
Parents are required to accept or decline the offer of enrollment in writing by email within 5 days of receiving notice of the enrollment offer. If an offer of enrollment is not accepted or declined, the expired registration will be moved to the bottom of the waitlist. All applicable deadlines will be communicated to parents throughout the entire enrollment/lottery process.
What happens once I am notified that my child(ren) has been granted an available seat?
All students who have been granted an available seat must complete the enrollment process with valid supporting documents by the deadline, or their seats will be forfeited.
Will my student have to participate in the lottery or apply each year?
No. Once officially enrolled, all Ivy Preparatory Academy scholars will remain enrolled for future years as long as the re-enrollment applications are completed each year.
